Shari is a Canadian-trained Medical Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist with over 20 years of experience. Since graduating from Northumberland College in 1999, she has worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons, family physicians, other allied health professionals in a variety of settings in Canada.

Shari enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge with others. She has taught courses in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, kinesiology, and massage therapy for four years at Everest College, Canada. Shari was also on the staff committee for continuing education studies at McMaster University, Canada, as an examiner for their Medical Acupuncture program. In Hong Kong, she has developed and taught pregnancy massage courses for other health professionals.

As a former competitive swimmer, she understands the importance of preventative therapies to keep athletes performing at an optimal level. She has worked with many athletes (adults and children) to keep them injury-free including ultrathoners, marathoners, triathletes, cyclists, dancers, and swimmers.

Her practice consists of medical acupuncture and Swedish Massage Therapy in conjunction with modalities such as ultrasound, manual lymph drainage, myofascial release and KT taping. She manages and treats sports and work-related injuries such as tennis elbow and sciatica. She also has a keen interest in pre and postnatal massage (including acupuncture for induction) and stress management (including treatment for migraines and tension headaches).
